PADI Sidemount Diver

Discover a new and exciting way to dive with the PADI Sidemount Diver specialty. In this course, you will dive with two independent cylinders positioned along your sides, rather than a traditional tank mounted on your back. This configuration offers excellent balance, streamlining, accessibility, and redundancy throughout the dive.

Why Dive Sidemount?

Using two sidemount cylinders can improve your trim, buoyancy control, and comfort underwater. With your air supply easily accessible at your sides, you can monitor and manage your equipment more efficiently while maintaining a streamlined position in the water.

Sidemount diving is also especially appreciated by divers who want to develop stronger equipment awareness, refine their buoyancy skills, and prepare for more advanced diving environments in the future.

What You’ll Learn

During the course, you will learn how to properly configure and adjust a two-cylinder sidemount system, including harness setup, cylinder attachment, regulator routing, and weight distribution.

You will also practice:

• Gas management and alternating between two independent cylinders
• Buoyancy control, trim, and efficient propulsion techniques
• Equipment handling and problem-solving underwater
• Regulator management and gas-sharing procedures
• Emergency procedures specific to a two-cylinder sidemount configuration

Course Structure

The course combines knowledge development with practical in-water training under the supervision of a PADI Instructor. Throughout the training dives, you will build confidence handling two sidemount cylinders while improving your body position, control, and overall diving efficiency.

Take Your Diving Further

The PADI Sidemount Diver course is ideal for certified divers looking for a more streamlined, comfortable, and versatile diving configuration. It is also an excellent foundation for divers interested in exploring wrecks, caverns, or technical diving in the future.

This activity requires at least an Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent). You must present a valid scuba certification card and have good buoyancy control to participate safely.

Anyone with asthma, heart or brain conditions, high blood pressure, lung lesions, diabetes, epilepsy, or a history of surgery within the past year must provide medical clearance signed by a physician specializing in their condition.

Please remember to allow at least 18–24 hours after diving before flying.

• Bookings cancelled due to weather such us major storms or high wind speed, acts of mother nature or circunstances beyond our control will be rescheduled or subject to a full 100% refund.
• 100% refund if you cancel with up to 72 hours in advance of your scheduled activity.
• 50% refund if you cancel between 24 and 72 hours in advance of your activity.
• If you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled activity, no refund will be provided.
• There is no reschedule option within 24 hours of your activity.
• No show for any reason of your scheduled dives or course, including: ill health, flight delays/cancelations, hangovers, late arrivals; no refund will be issued, non-attendance incurs charges that have to be fully covered.
• Refunds do not apply if you decide to interrupt your activity for any reason after it starts, including: seasickness, fear, ill health, ear problems/equalization issues, etc.
• Failure to disclose medical conditions and/or refusal to comply with sufficient safety times before flying informed in the activity, will result in your dive being cancelled with no refund.
